Leicester has a number of outstanding restaurants. Standouts include Firenze, rated as one of the best Italian restaurants in the country. In town, Maiyango Restaurant delivers a fantastic combination of great food and atmosphere with its cocktail bar, and The Case likewise marries high quality cuisine with an excellent champagne bar. Watson's also impresses with a great dining exprerience.
Slightly further afield, but well deserving of the trip, the delights of Michelin star awarded food can be found at the Olive Branch in Rutland, and at the outstanding Restaurant Sat Bains with Rooms in Nottingham - Head chef Sat Bains featured recently on the BBC's Great British Menu.
