There are a number of interesting and entertaining attractions in Leicester but foremost is the National Space Centre which provides a great day out for all ages. For those who prefer the outdoors, the surrounding beautiful countryside can be appreciated in many places including Bradgate Park and Rutland Water.
Of the museums in the area, Newarke Houses Museum is of particular interest as it tells us about Leicester's recent history. New Walk Museum & Art Gallery is also worthy of a visit if you are interested in culture and natural history.
